Earth Conscious Owners

The Earth Conscious Owners Service (ECOs) is a reliable, nonprofit recycling solution designed specifically for bars and restaurants in Columbus. We collect glass, cardboard, and cans and return them to local recycling points; nothing goes to waste on our watch!

An Earth-Conscious Owner (ECO) is a bar or restaurant proprietor who recognizes their business's potential to positively impact the Earth's ecosystem and the surrounding community. They actively take steps to minimize pollution, reduce waste, and ensure that their establishment operates responsibly.

Simple Steps to take:

1. Know Your Waste – We define how much we can recover and from where.

2. Separate with ease – Learn our simple method:  Clear and staff-friendly.

3. Reliable collections – We set up a recycling pick-up schedule.

4. Local drop-offs – Materials are taken to local recycling points.

By becoming part of ECOs, you enter a new paradigm in which “waste” is a concept of the past.  Here, everything is interconnected, every item holds value, and we bring this vision to life by taking action in whatever ways we can.

Even the smallest bar or the busiest restaurant can make a difference. Here’s the proof from your own community:


🌜Crescent Lounge (small bar, Godown Rd)

Recovers 1 ton of glass every year through ECOs—showing that even a cozy neighborhood spot can create a big impact.


🌮 Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant (medium restaurant/bar, High Street)

Recovers 4 tons of glass every year—turning High Street nights into Earth-conscious wins for the whole city.


From 1 ton to 4 tons—every business adds up to a waste-free Columbus.

After a waste audit, we categorize your establishment as a small size of $25/month, a medium size of $50/month, or a large size of $75/month.


  🙏 This cost helps expand and ground our mission. 

Conscious Cap Corp is a certified Nonprofit 501(c)(3). Mayra, friends, and volunteers run it.

Once the recyclables are collected from your business according to schedule, the CCC team takes them to local SWACO drop-off points. They are later hauled to a material recovery facility (MRF). Conscious Cap does not have a recovery facility yet, but not for long  😼  


🫶 We appreciate your support. 


 Non-segregated materials create confusion and increase processing costs. The USA linear recycling system wastes energy and resources to sustain convenience. Convenience is old, and it is trashing the planet!


🍄Resources must be separated into categories to maximize recovery and minimize valuable materials sent to the landfill. This is Conscious Recycling. 

We separate materials by category: 

🍾Glass is collected in boxes.

🥫Cans are collected in bags. 

📦Cardboard is collected if flattened.

Don't be afraid of separation; this is easier than you think. Current participants are excellent recyclers; we take pride in separating materials to maximize recovery.
